Dear Pastor:

Thanksgiving is almost here, but we can hardly believe it! We certainly have much for which to be thankful. Your faithfulness in prayer and giving is much appreciated. We just recently heard from GFA that someone gave us a gift of $200.00 and a promise of $100.00 per month. That brings our monthly support level up to 60% now. We praise the Lord also for several onetime gifts which make a world of difference. Some of these gifts are given anonymously, so we are simply asking the Lord to bless the giver.

We are now living in Machias, Maine, and I am serving as the Interim Pastor at the Downeast Baptist Church, helping them to find a fulltime pastor for their little church, who will fit well in this work. If you know of a pastor whom you can recommend please contact me by phone or e-mail. They have 12 active voting members, but the attendance is running about 30 people. Please pray with us for the Lord’s direction and wisdom.

Dr. Bud Bierman is scheduled for revival meetings here, starting this Sunday, November 15, 2009. Please pray with us that God will do a great work in every heart, and that souls will be saved.

The following prayer request is urgent. Please pray that God will help us as we put together a list of possible candidates who would be open to ministering in downeast Maine. I am sending this letter to a few fundamental pastors who I think may be able to help us in our search for the right pastor. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
