John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Now for the final proof. John 3:16… What if it said six months? – Then you couldn’t lose it in five months. What if it said 10 years: – Then you couldn’t lose it in 9. But bless your heart, it says eternal. Now listen to me, God cannot go back on His Word. Rom. 11:29 – “For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.” But does it really mean eternal life? Listen to the patience of God. John 10:27-28 – “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”
Let me sum it up in this verse. Phil 1:6 – “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:â€? Here are all three of the great doctrines of God’s work in us. Justification – He has begun a good work in you. Sanctification – He will keep on perfecting it. Glorification – until the day of Jesus Christ.
So you see, there is no change in God and no change in His work in us.
